This historic church building, once a place of deep spiritual significance, has been thoughtfully transformed into a charming events venue and photo studio. Our hope is to promote a sense of community through fellowship and gathering. In its new chapter, the church has been christened as The Dyer Vinton, honoring the surname of the children to whom it was originally dedicated and ensuring their legacy remains a cherished part of its story.

The heart of our church building.
This light filled space boasts original wood floors and brass light fixtures. The soaring barrel ceiling, arched windows, board and batten treatment and white washed walls create a romantic and timeless backdrop for your special event.

The Suite
This area off the Gathering Room, features pieces that make you feel warm, nostalgic, and well-loved. The Suite contains everything you need for a respite from the busy world. The cozy furnishings and full kitchen makes it a great space to get ready for your big day, host an intimate meeting or gather with friends.

The Snug
A stylish retreat inspired by a cozy space in an Irish pub, this intimate area features ambient lighting to create a sophisticated atmosphere. The Snug captures the allure of a bygone era while providing the contemporary amenities you need to hang out with your groomsmen, escape for a game of poker, or unwind during your day.

What is the capacity for events?
60 seated at tables and chairs -or-
100 ceremony, meeting or standing room.
Can I use my own officiant and vendors?
Absolutely! We just ask that you share who your entourage will include.
Can I decorate the venue?
We are excited to see your vision! However, please do not use nails, screws or adhesive. Glitter can create quite the mess and open flames present a risk and are not allowed.
Can I bring my own food and beverages?
YES! You are welcome to use your chosen caterer, or bring your own food. Our onsite kitchen is included in your rental. All non alcoholic beverages, beer, wine and champagne are allowed. No hard liquor per Iowa code, please.
Do I need insurance?
t is recommended that the Renter obtain event insurance.
What is included in my rental?
You have access to our entire building, including furnishings. 4, 6 and 8 ft tables, a variety of vintage chairs and ivory linens are included. You are welcome to a selection of thoughtfully curated decor. Cooking utensils are available for your use.
